Lara Dutta and Mahesh Bhupathi are in love, and they're taking their relationship to the next level now. Mahesh is believed to be moving from Bangalore to Mumbai to be closer to the star. And Lara is doing all she can to make sure that Mahesh's move goes smoothly. It seems that Mahesh has rented a place very close to Lara's house in the Bandra suburb of Mumbai, and Lara is getting the place ready for Mahesh to move in. Earlier, she had visited the place with him when he decided to take it for sure. And now, she is apparently deciding on the interiors of the house, and also organising getting essential electronic equipment fixed there. Looks like Lara is totally into making Mahesh's life more comfortable in his new base. After all, Mahesh has made the big gesture by moving to be with her

Just a few days ago, it was Katrina Kaif whose travel plans were affected by the ash clouds from the volcanic erruptions in Iceland. She needed to get to London for her grandfather's birthday but had to cancel her plans because of the air travel chaos caused by the ash. And now it's Salman Khan whose plans have had to be changed because of the ash clouds. In Salman's case, a song shoot for his brother Arbaaz's movie 'Dabangg' has had to be moved from Switzerland to Dubai.Arbaaz posted on his Twitter account about the song to be shot with Salman and the movie's heroine Sonakshi Sinha, "The song we were doing in Switzerland is cancelled because of the volcano and no flights to europe. We will now shoot the same song in Dubai after changing the concept a bit. It is a honeymoon song so an outdoor location is important." So Salman and Katrina were both affected by the same problem. Talk about coincidences and connections!

Sushmita Sen became a proud mommy for the second time recently when she adopted Alisah. And we got our first look at the baby when the star brought her along for the crowning of the winners of the 'I Am Princess' initiative. Sush was at the Bal Bhavan charity for the event, and she showed off Alisah to everyone there. She even handed Alisah over to the kids at the charity so they could play with the baby. Alisah's already a cutie at three months, and she looks like she loves the camera. Just look at the way she's totally unfazed and at home before the camera, must get it from her mom!  Sushmita already has another daughter, Renee, who was adopted in the year 2000. And now with Alisah, Sush's family portrait makes for an even more adorable picture.

Newly married couple Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza are now in Pakistan for their reception in Lahore. And Shoaib in particular is thrilled by the welcome given to him and his Indian bride in his country. Shoaib and Sania were mobbed by supporters at the airport in Karachi who were very excited to see them together. Shoaib said that he was very happy at the response they received. He added that he hadn't expected they would be given such an overwhelming welcome.Shoaib and Sania flew from Karachi to Islamabad where they stayed at a five-star hotel, and were given a high security cover. There had been doubts that the famous Indo-Pak couple might not be able to travel to Pakistan for the reception there because a fresh case had been filed against them in India for hurting religious sentiments through their marriage.  Of course now, with Shoaib and Sania in Pakistan, things are expected to go ahead as planned, with a large number of VIPs expected to attend their reception on Sunday (April 25).The couple will be settling in Dubai in the future. And their new home is going to be in the Palm Jumeirah.

The IPL controversy is getting murkier and murkier, with more and more big names coming under the scanner for allegedly being involved in money laundering, match-fixing, receiving kick-backs and being proxies. But at the Sahara IPL Awards held at the Grand Hyatt in Mumbai on April 23, the gathering of Bollywood stars and cricket stars were not focusing on the scandal. They were there to honour the best from this year's IPL tournament. And they also showed their support for the man in the middle of one of the biggest scandals ever seen in India - IPL commissioner Lalit Modi.Bollywood representatives at the event included Shah Rukh Khan, Shilpa Shetty, Preity Zinta, (all three IPL team owners), Arjun Rampal, Karan Johar, Amrita Rao, Sameera Reddy, and many others. Meanwhile, the IPL players were all there too. And there was a lot of bonding going on between everyone.Shilpa Shetty posted a picture of herself with Preity Zinta on her Twitter account and wrote, "Revelry off the field and Rivalry on the field;) ha ha. PZs such a sport!"And what did Preity have to say? She posted on her Twitter account, "It was so nice to see Lalit (Modi) smile despite all hell breaking loose in the media. U have 2 give it 2 him for making IPL what it is!"Preity added later, "Hope the truth comes out and media speculation stops! Breaks my heart to see IPL bashing by any and everyone."SRK said something along those lines too. He posted on his Twitter account, "The ipl awards was very nice. had a great time. could not stay bak as had a shoot in the morning. all of us smiled through a tinge of sadness."Shah Rukh added later, "ipl controversy: fast,furious and too much noise. like the T20 itself. hope it gets resolved as fast too for our friend lalit & franchises." Arjun Rampal, who has been organising the IPL after-parties with his wife Mehr, tweeted, "Just finished the IPL awards. Srk rocked the house was in great form, Karan was superb and an endearing speech from Lalit Modi.

"He continued, "The sportsmen were truly sporting, Bajji, Yusuf, Rahul and Dada..take a bow. Vijay Mallya can sing. Dada and Srk still need to practice."

It was not a crash diet that almost made actress Preity Zinta faint, it was her weighing scale that shocked the star to the core.

"Eeeks! Stepped on the weighing scale after two months and almost fainted! Have put on 4 kilos! Forget the news! I need to focus in the gym now," Preity posted on her Twitter account.

Amitabh met with the accident during one of the action scenes in the film 'Coolie'. His surgery required a lot of blood. The urgency of its administration propelled several volunteers to come forward. Two hundred people donated blood and 60 bottles of blood were collected and injected in the actor. But, this caused the problem.
"Some of the blood from an unknown donor was infected with the Australian antigen Hepatitis. This particular infection or mode in a particular blood donor has the unique quality of getting active inside the system after lying dormant for a couple of months.
It was also an unknown hepatitis in 1982 and there were, perhaps due to the urgency of the matter, no known immediate tests to ascertain its existence before it was administered. So it went into my system, festered and attacked my liver.
Eight years ago, during the course of an MRI, they discovered that 25 percent of my liver had been destroyed by it. I was, therefore, technically or shall we say in medical terminology, a patient by default. A patient that had developed cirrhosis of the liver - a condition that is normally associated with that of an alcoholic. So here I was, a non-alcoholic, a teetotaller, with an ailment that I imbibed through a blood transfusion from a donor," he added.
Because of this problem, the 67-year-old actor has to get himself monitored on a regular basis.
"Now since the liver and any ailment associated with it is extremely sensitive, I have to be under constant vigil and monitoring, to keep checking if there is any further damage taking place. A few days back my blood report showed a sudden rise in my liver counts and the doctor felt it necessary to investigate further through an MRI. For me, this is an every three month procedure," Amitabh said.accident while shooting 'Coolie' in 1982.
